2025 Kiln Creek Pool Rules – Quick Reference Guide

Your guide to a safe and fun summer at KCOA pools!

Summer is almost here, and both the Recreation Center and Resort Pool will open starting May 24 – September 2, 2025! To keep our pools safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone, please review the updated pool rules.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s allowed and not allowed in the pool area:

✅ Permitted Items & Actions

• ✔️ Coast Guard-approved flotation devices (for non-swimmers)

• ✔️ Water wings & puddle jumpers

• ✔️ Pool noodles (at lifeguard’s discretion)

• ✔️ Approved beach balls & Nerf-style balls (no safety hazard)

• ✔️ Plastic beverage containers with secure tops/straws (deck only)

• ✔️ Portable playpens in designated areas

• ✔️ Wheeled carriages stored along the fence line

• ✔️ Personal chairs (no umbrellas, tents, or large items)

• ✔️ Swim diapers and tight-fitting plastic pants for non-potty-trained children

• ✔️ Smoking outside of the fenced pool area

🚫 Prohibited Items & Actions

• ❌ Large floats, rafts, inflatable loungers

• ❌ Water guns (of any type)

• ❌ Glass containers and open food/drinks in swim areas

• ❌ Alcoholic beverages

• ❌ Umbrellas, tables, tents (unless approved by staff)

• ❌ Pets inside the pool area

• ❌ Smoking inside the fenced area

• ❌ Gum chewing in the pool area

• ❌ Children under 12 without a responsible person (age 16+)

• ❌ Diving/jumping outside of designated areas

• ❌ Running, dunking, or rough play

🕒 Key Reminders:

• Hours:

  • Resort Pool: Open daily, 9 AM–7 PM

  • Recreation Center Pool: Closed Mondays (except Memorial & Labor Day), open 10 AM–8 PM weekends

• Mandatory 15-minute breaks each hour for cleaning/chemical checks.

• Swim tests required for deep water access (bracelet provided after passing).

• Children under 12 must be accompanied by someone age 16+ at all times.

• Guests must sign in and pay a fee after 10 free guest passes per household.
